I would go for PINK MimiBug. That color and design will be awesome. It is YOUR machine, be happy with it. Sure would like to see a before and after.

Is it an unusual decal set? If not it's a no brainer for me - pearl pink. If it's something that's not that common, though, like the Lotus set (at least not that common around here) I'd have to really consider just doing a restoration.

I had my granny's 201-2 restored, and fell in love. So I started saving machines when I found them. First was a curbside find, a badged Capri in gold and white. Then my auntie gave me her hot pink FW, and my dh bought me a purple 222. New addiction- repainting machines that are unsalvagable.

I now also have: Singer 301, 503, red-eye 66(which will be my first total decal restoration/repaint), Morse fotomatic III and IV, pink Atlas machine, pink Remington machine, and 3 parts machines.

If I didn't know better, I would think that blue one was a SLOT machine. So shiny and inviting.

Welcome, I love all your colorful machines, especially the Pink one!! Would love to see pictures of some of your other machines.

I have heard the Morse IV described as "the result of an encounter between a Bel-Air coupe and a Delco radio". It actually has a FIN on top, plus all that chrome.

if you want to see some eye-candy, google sewingmachinesteve. He is about an hour from me, and I love to go over there. He has invested tons of money into professional airguns, sprayboothes, etc.

Me, I use a cheapo airgun and even more cheapo car paint.

I would love to see your repaint/restore projects.

As for painting, go for the pink. Its your machine and if its' not in good enough condition to keep as is, why not? We just started painting (professionally) some machines and we're working on doing just that with the ones that are beyond saving. Its fun and i brings new life to what would otherwise be a boat anchor. :D
