Totes for Featherweights

What does everyone use to carry their 221 Featherweights around, if you don't happen to have a hard case? Does someone make a soft case that will hold them.

I really don't need the original black hard case that they came with, I would like a soft, zippered case. Any ideas?

Thanks

If you don't have or don't want to use the original hard sided case, maybe one of the soft sided, zippered cases for a serger would fit?

I bought a pattern for a case from featherweight221.com. It comes with an embroidery design so you can put the classic featherweight swirlyq on it too.. The pattern I have is listed on the top of this page here...http://www.featherweight221.com/fwrx.../patterns.html. I haven't made it yet, but I will probably do it later in the spring.

This site has a lightweight soft sided bag for our Featherweights. I have one and love it!! There is a pouch on the side where you can keep your book on oiling and extra tools. I'd check this out, much better than the heaving original case.
I've also heard of people using bowling bags. The bag is $39.95 and worth every penny.

I went to goodwill and found 2 bags that where perfect for my FW's cost $5.00 total.

All these ideas sound great!

After looking at this tote, I have an old Creative Memories scrapbooking bag I could add batting to, to use as my tote. Yeah me (insert clapping hands smiley here :D)

I like having wheels on my machine totes. Someone at my office was giving away one of those old style file boxes on wheels, and I took it. My FW fits perfectly in it, and I can put a bag with all my supplies on top of it and bungee strap it to the extended handle. Perfect!!

I put mine in a suit case with wheels. It fits perfect. If you are real careful it should be fine, otherwise put a little stuffing (batten) around it. Rowena101
