Unknown White sewing machine, HELP!

My fiance and I recently came across a vintage sewing machine and we would like to see if anyone knows anything about it, because I cannot find much information by browsing online or calling antique places. All I do know about it is that it was manufactured in Japan and it is a zig zag type machine. It is the original emerald green color and in the original maple stand. It is electrical and best of all, it WORKS! If anyone has any insight on this beautiful machine, it would be greatly appreciated! :)

Did your machine come with the cams? Give her a good oiling, top and bottom on every part that moves or rotates. The top cover can be removed to oil the mechanisms inside. I would also lightly grease the gears even though most of my manuals say oil only. If you are looking for a manual search also for Brother or Precision to find one that looks like your machine as they were all made by the same company in Japan. The threading pattern is pretty standard. Below is a link for a 9951 manual. Might be good enough to use for your machine as the model number is close.

It looks like its from the Late '50s or Early 60's.. Should be a real workhorse, c ongratulations! Yahoo has a group of Vintage Sewing Machines. You might try there. Good Luck!
