Oh I had the wrong picture - this is also on the White sewing machine
And another fancy machine that just does ZZ
I think that gold one is a Good Housekeeper
I think these are very fun to look at. I hope you enjoy and I hope you post yours on here, too. Any information is always fun and helpful.
the elusive Montgomery Ward ZZer
OK, Here are some of my SS/ZZ Japanese badged machines:
Dial 'n Sew:
This is our first official rescue. My wife found it on the curb, the case all busted to pieces. I fixed that, put in a bobbin case, threaded it up and it sewed. It's a dedicated left needle straight stitch and I have an off set straight stitch foot for it.
It's marked J-A 18 and the chart from the Yahoo Japanese machine group says that is Riccar.
Kenmore, Model 158-13570
This is one of the best general use SS/ZZ machines we have. We have more attachments for it alone than just about any other machine.
It's made by Maruzen/Jaguar.
Domestic, Model 5135
(Sorry about the lousy pic) The need rag has been removed and the machine has cleaned up right nice.
Aldens, Magic Zig Zag
I have a full compliment of accessories, and feet as well as the owners manual with this one.
It's marked SANSHIN on the underside of the bed. No J-A numbers anywhere.
American Home, Deluxe Electric
This machine came with only a piping foot on it. It's a SS only machine.
Now come on QB members, dig your pics out and post 'em. We don't want Miriam to feel lonely do we?
This machine is one my boss owns - it is only straight stitch - very nice machine and willing to sew anything - he loves to sew costumes for plays.
Sewmor machines make a very nice straight stitch and come in a variety of styles
Another Sewmor in a different style
