Vintage kenmore looks to be a red color on C/L

Interesting I have never seen one like this before. I don't need another sewing machine but maybe someone on here might be interested in contacting them and make an offer. I've noticed on our local c/l that when the machines are first posted they are higher $ but often are reduced as the days go on. It's in the Rockford, IL area

caroloto,

That machine will be a redish brown color. Usually more brown than red. Looks to me like it's just been cleaned with oil like we do ours.

Nice machine and cabinet combo. Once the price comes down it might be a good machine to grab, but at that price it's way to much.

I found another one listed in the quad cities: http://quadcities.craigslist.org/fuo/3666417717.html priced at $65, not as nice looking as the first one and does not say if there are attactments or manual. Joe, I believe it's is more a redish brown on my desk computer. Yet I was on my laptop it looked more of a red.

Really awesome machines!!!

Each monitor is different too. The first one looks reddish brown the second one looks more brown.

I have two White made sewing machines, one is a Kenmore 117-812. It's one of the best straight stitch machines I have. I just pieced some denim quilt pieces and it rolled over them like they were thin cotton.

I have a rotary white believe it's the 77 can't remember off hand the # "brain freeze"! But I love this machine and use it more then any of my others, stitches perfect. I bought it at an auction last fall, ready for this $2.50 in a cabinet is great shape with all attachments (this one has those odd feet too) and manual! It has power to spare.

I'd love to have that machine but never at that price. The cabinet looks to be in great shape.

Chance are the price will go down, seems like they always start high in this area and as the weeks go by the prices are reduced. One machine a few weeks ago was priced over a $1000. now it's listed at at 1/2, give it qanother couple of weeks I'll bet it drops under $100. I'm sure the price will either drop or make an offer in a week or two...sewing machines don't sell well here on C/L's

I had one of these, it's a Kenmore 117-959. My sister gave it to me after it sat in her garage for many years, her late MIL bought it at a garage sale. A good cleaning and oiling and it ran great. I refinished the cabinet with Howards refinisher, it still wasn't as nice as this one but it looked good. I sold it last summer for $35 and only had the one interested party. Interestingly enough, the bobbin cases go for a lot. Mine came with two, and I sold the extra one for $25.

I have a cabinet like that - it is wonderful.
