I found this machine for sale trying to find any info on this machine. Singer Treadle G0451731 in a 5 drawer cabinet for 60.00 Theonly thing I could see wrong with it is it needs a bobbin cover plate and a belt. It's dirty and a little hard to turn but I think with a little cleaning it would be fine. I think it's a red head. Help!!!

Could you post a picture? If it is a redhead then that means it is a Singer 66. You can pick up the bobbins at Joanns.

The bobbin case cover can be replaced online, oil would loosen it up. A new belt will work magic. If the machine looks like it'll clean up nice-it sounds like a great deal!

here's a link to your serial number http://www.singerco.com/pdf/SINGER_G_nos.pdf, scroll to page 37. yours is a singer 66 born in elizabeth nj november 13 1923.

At that price I'd grab it before someone else does.
