I have a 328 I've always meant to use in a treadle, but haven't for this reason. The only ZZ treadle I have right now is a Japanese class 15. It's a great machine, but only does ZZ and straight stitches. Would love to try a 319, and probably will!

I am no longer getting email notices that there are replies. That makes it hard to figure out where to start reading. Anyone else know what to do about that??

I'll jump off the bridge and show my "hopeful" restoration of my Singer fiddlebase cabinet top. Glenn has been helping me along with it. In the beginning it has no finish, so I had to start at the filthy wood and work my way back. I love the oil stain on it that shows where a big round blade has been laid on it and left its greasy outline. Such stories this old girl could tell.
First picture is as she was found, then glueing her back together, before lots and lots of cleaning with denatured alcohol and finally sanded and ready for staining(when my ordered stain arrives). Texas Jan |

BTW Glenn, I forwarded your information to DH, and he called to tell me he was at the hardware store to get stuff to work on my cabinet. So, we may have pics to put up by tomorrow!! :) |
The irons I recently got for my Davis VF are Decorah-Posten, and when I Googled it, I found out that Decorah-Posten was a Norwegian immigrant established newspaper in Minnesota in the 1880s. To boost subscriptions, he had a sewing machine manufacturer badge some machines, and an iron maker make the irons with Decorah-Posten name. Subscribers could buy the treadle machines for $2 down and $1 a month for a total of $26. Intriguing, no??? :)
