Glenn - so tell me about the WW8. Herself is telling me that we don't need it and I'd like to have some ammunition. We just made it through a second weekend without getting a new machine and I think I'm going through withdrawals :). Of course I should be concentrating on these:

pinkCastleDH, the WW8 has a wonderful stitch and is a very quiet machine. Never gives you any trouble and easy to use. I love mine. Just make sure it is all there and has a bobbin or two and hopefully some glass feet with it. Yes it has glass feet inserts for the foot.

Ps I see you have your work cut out for you. What fun you will have.

Glass inserts? I don't suppose a person could make new ones, could they? What purpose do the inserts serve? Are the bobbins unobtainium? So far I'm scheduled to go see it Saturday morning ;)

Yeah. Some of them don't need anything but a base, they're already bright and shiny and working. Some need a bit more than that and there are four or five cabinets needing work as well. Sounds like a good excuse to excavate my workbench!

They are glass feet the slide into a slot in the foot for regular sewing and quilting and such. I don't have any or I would send you a pic. All I have is the metal sewing foot but I am trying to find some for my machine. I quess you could make some if you knew how to work with glass but you would need an original on to make a mold to pour the hot glass in.
