Low shank = Low shank.

With the underbraider, it depends on which style you have. They mount to the base of the machine, so the shank does not matter.

Most puzzle boxes come with this style - (I messed this up -edited to fix) one for the 27 on the RIGHT and one for the 15 on the LEFT. The screw is in a slightly different location, and the 27 hooks to the back of the feed dog opening, the 15 has a small pin that slips into the hole on the needle plate.

Here are several others - Obviously the smaller half moon will only fit on the 27/28 or 127/128 models.

Here are the rest being modeled by a 201. On all of them, there is a pin or hook that holds into the hole on the needle plate. The half moon one lines up, but did not want to lay flat. It fit fine on a 66.
I did not switch out the foot - the quilter or an underbraider foot works with it.

The puzzle box 27 stlye would not fit. I had them mixed up at first, but then I opened up the 27 and it has NO HOLE in the needle plate.

BTW - all those that fit the 201 also fit the 66 and 15 I tired them on - i

too cool, thanks!

Here is the one for the 27 being modeled by my 27.

Wanted to add - the rest of the attachments except the shirring plate in the puzzle box are the same for the 15 and 27, however there are several styles of puzzle boxes with slightly different rufflers and tuckers. The are all short shank and will work with any short shank machine. The under braider and shirring plate mount to the base of the machine so they are specific, though the 15 style will work on any of the older round bobbin machines that I have.

Just checked - including the FW

Macybaby, Thank you so much for the information and the great photos. They will be used to assist in the education of our local vintage and antique machine mini group. It helps so much to have such knowledgeable and generous friends as the members of this board are. Oh yes, and your machine is beautiful. The central decoration on the bed looks like a stained glass window at Church...MOP, I presume.

Thanks Macybaby for the photos and the information on what will work where. I know the other things in the puzzle box would work as they are all short shank. Now to see where I can get an underbraider for my FW. You don't have one you want to sell, do you?

I saw a 222k on ebay whilst on the train finishing in less than four minutes (just before 5pm). Pick up only in Brisbane (very far from Melbourne) but I couldn't allow it to sell for $250 (it was in the wrong category, and being strictly pick-up only...) so I put on a bid. The other bidder was an amateur and was upping his bids by $10 at a time, so ran out of time, and I won for $275.
Haven't got it yet but when arranging the transport the owner said it had only made 15 garments since new. Heavens, it seems I've actually stolen it.

The case also looks brand new, but I'm sure it will have that smell and the electricals might need a bit of TLC.

Oldsewnsew just posted a picture of a picture of a pretty blue Clone on http://www.quiltingboard.com/vintage...ml#post6246415 Nice machine. Oldsewnsew also posted a picture of a very nice New Home. A short time ago we were discussing the holes in the portable case like in the New Home and I voiced a thought that those holes might be for a treadle belt. I think my suspicions were correct. They also have been bitten by "The Bug" lol. It was nice to hear how excited they were about how well and forgiving the clone was sewing. If you are out there Oldsewnsew, Welcome to the group. You are in good company.
I also like the fact that the clone is badged Princess and there is a jar of Grey Poupon right behind it.:o

Thanks Grant! So you've seen the bases with those holes in them? I hadn't in my limited exposure to antique SM's.
I can't believe how nice shape the case is for being as old as it is. Any one have a source for locating a manual on line for these?
