Does anyone out there know about Old sewing machines? I just got my grandma's White Rotary treadle sewing machine. I have no idea when she got it or how old it is, or whether it still works. Who can I have look at it to help me out? She was born in the 1890s.

OMG that is a real beauty. You are sooo lucky. This is one grand old machine. You will never want to sew on anything else.

That is a very nice machine and cabinet. Looks like a minor clean and oil and you will be ready to go.

Very Lucky to find one in such good condition.

Sew-n-sew,
Go to this website and you'll be able to see pictures of your machine and the cabinet and a list so you can look up the serial number and manufacture date. I have the identical machine and cabinet. My machine is a #12 and was made in 1916 and the cabinet came out in 1917.
http://community.webshots.com/user/arachnesobsession There is a wealth of info on that site.
