Yellowed Crinkle on Featherweight

My friend just purchased a featherweight. I wasn't able to go with her. It has this yellowed crinkle on the front of the machine. It looks like the original lacquer has been exposed to heat or something to make it look like this. The machine looks dull. What can we do to make it shiny again? Please help.

I got one pretty cheap last summer. It was totally yellowed. From what I understand it was kept in a shed (or as Muv says, an out house) for a long time. The freezing and thawing destroyed the finish. The machine itself was barely ever used. I followed Glenn's directions for restoring a machine's finish.

DH did that one - he was not as thorough as I would have liked but the results were not too bad.

I searched Glenn at the top but there was a lot of Glenn so I got on one he started and searched his avitar (his picture area) for started posts. You can search mine and find information on repairs etc.
