All this talk..I dug out my old 301 that hasn't seen the light of day in years. Brushed it off, threaded it and it still sews so beautifully. And dug out an old iron that was pre-steam, wedding gift from 1955, plugged it in and love the way it glides and the seams are pressed! Thanks for the lovely reminders.

Nice to be reminded that there was life before...... my grandmother and her friends certainly managed to make beautiful quilts without any fancy equipment and I know that they enjoyed every minute. I sometimes think that we are too gadget orientated these days.

How nice that you still had these stored away. Like they say, keeps things long enough and they come back in style. Enjoy!

I love it when we can reuse what we already have instead of getting new. (Does that sentence even make sense?)
