I am way behind, but I thought I'd post a photo of the quilt I finished a couple weeks ago. I made this quilt using only by 1937 FW, then bound it with my Pfaff 1222e from 1976. I was making this quilt to pretty up my FIL's assisted living room, but didn't get it done until 2 days before he passed away. My DH wanted it drapped on his coffin because Dad was always asking me when I was going to get his quilt done!

Sharon, I love the log cabing quilt! Nice and bright.

Kat, great job and what an honorable thing to do, sending those quilts to the victims of those tornados!

Nancy, Sorry to hear of that your FIL passed away. That's a handsome quilt. Seeing the quilt draped over his coffin brings a feeling a tranquility and peace. That quilt will always be his quilt. He can now comfort you and your husband with his serenity when you wrap yourselves up in his quilt.

I think I like seeing a quilt draped over a coffin - how much love is that? WOW and a beautiful quilt, too.

Nancy;

Sorry about your FIL's death but what a terrific quilt for him and I just wish I had had a quilt for my FIL's coffin to drape over it.
