Default Rare Sewing Machine Manuals

I'm hopelessly a sewing machine collecting addict! My latest acquisition is a Swiss made Turissa Ultramatic that is probably from the 60's - 70's. I can't find any information on this lovely machine. What I did find was that the machine is exactly like the German made Gritzner FZ Automatic. Is there a source for manuals for either of these machines, since they seem to be interchangeable? I would appreciate any information that's available, as I'm afraid to use the machine without a manual review first. I've searched the net without success.

Sorry- the only German machine I have is a Fischer Mewa. Check Ebay in other countries and you might get lucky for a manual for either machine.

I have been through this process very dishearteningly while researching my two German made Phoenix machines. There are HEAPS of them for sale on www.ebay.de and if you find one with a manual, you can contact the seller and ask if they will copy the manual for you and sell it to you separately. I have had luck with this after a couple of false starts.

Some search terms are:

Sewing machine: nahmaschine
Manual: Bedienungsanleitung or Gebrauchsanleitung
Model: Klasse or Kl. XX
Find out if the name of the machine will be the same in German - eg. words like "automatic" may be different.

Sorry- I have the Koma model. No cord or knee lever (like the Elna grasshopper) so I've never used it.

I'm really late to this party but I could swear I saw "Turissa" in the files section of the Wefixit yahoo group or their overflow files "group" called "mechstash"

I have recently purchased a Fischer-Mewa Koma sewing machine and it does not have the power cord, knee lever or bobbin case and bobbins. My brother in law is going to make me the power cord and knee lever to fit it, but I still need the bobbin case and bobbins to get it working again. I also don't have a manual. If anyone knows where I might find the bobbin cases, bobbins and a manual for this, please let me know. I'd love to get this piece of history up and running. It's in incredible shape and it is a shame I can't use it due to the missing parts.
