Default Singer 604 or 604e?

I found this little treasure in a closet in my moms house. She said she had only used it for button holes and had put it away years ago when she had bought a new machine. I have looked all over the net for more info but the pictures they show are of one with a blue face not gray like this one. It is marked on the body 604. Can anyone tell me about it?

Thanks

Cindy

Here's another pic of it in the cabinet. The machine folds down into the base.

According to ISMACS, here:

{ http://www.ismacs.net/singer_sewing_...sses-500+.html }

604
1962-64
Domestic
Straight stitch; autoreel; grey.

Domestic
"Updated class 604"; with chain stitch.

Also, please don't take this as sour grapes, but could you in the future resize your pics and orient them correctly?
The current size of 1 meg is far too big for those of us with dial ups to see easily. And turning my monitor on it's side is a chore.
