Red Eye Singer ! WOOT WOOT

Why do we all want to get these machines? The love of the antique machines??? I'm not sure.
I have been looking at a machine I can use with my DGDs, they are five.
Does anyone have a "finger guard" they make for these?
Thanks for any help with the guard! I'm hoping to find a treadle for it. I paid $95, I think I paid a fare price.
Enjoy! I have been so busy with sewing, I'm hoping I can fit this into my life!!!

It is electric, but I need a new plug in for this, it has not been updated.

The decals are in pretty nice shape. The serial # G0594970, I don't know the age and I need a owners manual. And the man said to use a synthetic oil, with teflon?? what is that all about? I'm looking any info on the oiling also. It runs so smooth.

How do I find the manual? and the singer site, I'm having a hard time getting around it!
thanks.
According to the Singer web site, its birthday was June 22, 1910 (provided I looked it up correctly!) . She is beautiful. You will really enjoy her!
thanks.

I have the same machine BD 6/10/1910...You can buy the grease and oil for her right at Joann's...I think it's put out by Singer. I also think you can find the manuels right online via the Singer Website...The manuel will tell you exactly where to put the grease and oil. Very easy to maintain...I cleaned and oiled mine...
Also is a model 66...uses Classic 66 bobbins sold at Joann's (Metal) don't buy plastic bobbins.
