Default Repainting vintage machines

I have seen some 301's and 221 repainted and they were beautiful. Who does this kind of work??? Is there anyone in Florida??? Thanks for any help.

You could check out quilter's guilds. May be some husbands who like to that and retired body shop painters!

Contact Suncatcher.com in Texas, Fred Sweitzer, he knows someone who does it. It is pricey though.

I think there are quite a few people doing it now. My machines are all in great shape, but if I had a good runner with crap finish I'd tackle it for sure. Especially considering what people are charging.

There are numerous threads in the vintage machine forum where members have brought back machines from the dead zone

There is a tutorial in the sticky notes how to refinish your machine. I kind of like the steam punk look..............

They also have their apprentices work on small items to hone their pin striping and lacing skills.
