Default Not a machine, a new vintage toy

I'm very excited to get this - got a great price on it too!

I love my mail carrier - today I gave her two jars of pepper jelly!

And here is one of my newest toys!

I mistakenly thought I could take the top off for easy access to the stuff inside - but it doesn't work that way. But at least I got the inside of the bottom cleaned out before putting it back together LOL!!

I think I've got enough from other purchases to completely fill it with the appropriate containers. I'm not too worried about them all being filled though, just want the correct tubes. After all, I have machines that use almost every single item in this case. BTW - that was one of my collecting goals, to have a machine for each of the 12 styles of shuttles in this case. I'm still one short though. Not sure I have machines for all the needles as my Davis's are both new enough to take the size 16 needle.

I'll sneak this one it too - another new toy -but won't have time to unpack until this weekend when I get the other one down. The other 450 lbs of it is out in the shop . . .

Do I see canned tomatoes, or Salsa, or something wonderful? I wish we had dirt good enough to get stuff to can. Barny

Very cool. I think I have a couple of those tubes. When you fill it, if my tubes are ones you need you're welcome to them.

FYI - you "can" take the top apart, but it is less than a joy to reassemble. I have pics of how if you need them.

I sure do wish that Boye had made these back in the 1870-80's Ahhh to dream.....

... and as a side note. I made a permanent mold of the pointer on top and cast a pewter copy for a friend. If anyone else needs one, let me know. (no charge, just trying to help)

What a fun new toy. I'm familiar with Boye knitting needles and crochet hooks but had no idea they ever made sewing machine needles.
