I’m just so impressed with Steve’s cleaning.
Questions for Steve or Glenn about cleaning a top with Formula #1:
Would it be the best thing to use on a wooden industrial top?
Some of the laminate is loose on the ends. Do I clean or reattach first?
Does Formula #1 take off thin paint overspray by any chance?

Personally I would skin and replace the veneer on that, but it is because I am lazy.
I would try the #1 solution on it from left to right, and be careful around the delaminated portions as this could separate the veneer even more (or reattach first)

Yes CD clean it with solution one with the grain and a fine steel wool to help remove the overspray and yes be careful around the loose veneer. It may not remove all the dark staining but it will be clean. Then clear coat with you choice of finish. I prefer shellac bcause it is easier to repair if it get scratch up from use. I am with Steve on the skin and replace the veneer so much easier and less time.
