Default Sewing Machine Tractor

Ever wonder what happens to some of our beloved antique sewing machines? I found out yesterday. www.quilterinmotion.wordpress.com/2012/02/23/what-is-that/

Interesting. I am not sure how I feel about it. On one hand I like to see things being reused, but I would feel really sad if I saw a model that is hard to find, etc. I guess if done with machines past the point of no return than it's a good idea.

I think the spool pin should be removed though. Imagine a small kid pushing this around and tripping onto the toy!

I saw two of these at our local county fair. They were entered in the crafts department.

I was prepared to say "How horrible to do this to a machine!" based on others I've seen. Others I've seen are as sad as those sewing machine lamps. But these- are definitely kinda cute. Never thought I'd say this!

They are cute, but I hate to see machines used that way.

I also have mixed feelings about those re-purposed sewing machines. I sure hope that they were "beyond all hope" sewing machines.
