I see lots of FWs on there. They also have a Chinese made FW on there right now.

That one intrigues me, but I wouldn't pay the $$$ for it.

I saw that too. I think people on bidding on it hoping to at least get a "clone" FW for a lower cost. I wonder how it sews?

This is a better one and it's only up to $177. It ends in two days. http://www.shopgoodwill.com/viewItem...temID=12483283

Be careful on the FW on Goodwill. There are some on the site, that just drives the price higher. They just bid to get you to bid higher. I don't think they want a machine, but they want you to pay for it. Just be careful and good luck on getting one.

Yes, do be careful of the shill bidders. And do not bid more than the minimum bid if you are the first bidder. We have done that and the shills bid us up to our maximum bid. How they knew when to stop I can't say but I suspect they are part of GWs organization, or at least have access to their computer systems.

We filed a complaint against one bidder and GW denied any possibility of him being a shill. That just confirmed to me that he was.
Very shortly after that this person quit bidding. Coincidence, I think not.

Got to watch the shipping on goodwill.com .i think many times shipping is outrageous for many of the items. Just my opinion, I do browse there site and enjoy doing so. But beware of this.

I have only bought one thing from www.shopgoodwill.com and I was APPALLED at the box they used for shipping and the amount they charged me! It cost me almost as much for shipping as it did the item! Now, I only bid on machines at my local one and I have a maximum and never go over it.

We're spoiled by the cheep prices we pay for the vintage machines. With the exception of our 319K we've never paid more than a token amount for some really great machines. Most of these machines are going for less than a 10th of what they sold for new, and way less than the new junk machines being made now. But we complain when we pay so much for them.
We're spoiled.

I am bidding on a vintage machine right now and plan to continue til I get it. Like I need another machine, but that is another story. I have no problem paying shipping, I just don't want to get ripped off on anything! I find eBay is more accurate in shipping rates. That is my HO! I agree on the newer plastic machines, I have two and won't buy any more of them.

Also in central IL.
