Beautiful quilt, and I love the "yellow ribbon" thought. If you can, let us know if your recipient notices your cleverness.

Rodney,
You made a beautiful quilt. Your design is very nice. How did you quilt it?

I make quilts for soldiers also, I'm part of "Thank You Quilters". The quilts go to wounded soldiers at Fort Hood army base in Killeen,TX. I'm currently making log cabin blocks.

Sharon,

The machine quilting was done by a friend of my sister who has a long arm. We barter for work. I build things for her and she quilts for me. After I bring her the front, back and batting, I pick out the thread(s) and the pattern and she does the quilting and returns it to me to do the binding.

Wow, a win-win situation for both of you! I love hand-crafted wood-working items.
