Default Singer 201 with cabinet in Temple TX for $40 on Craigs List

In case anyone is close to this in Texas, looked like a nice machine, appears some rewiring has been done at some point (cords are not black).

I just might have to go get it. I'm only about 45 miles from there.

I had originally thought about getting this machine - but a good 2.5 hours out for me. With traffic the way it is, would easily be a 6 hour round trip (unless I get lucky and manage to miss any hot spots). You are so close!!

Hoping one of you grabs this one if you enjoy a machine which stitches a perfect stitch. This is just the best quilting machine I've ever used. Go for it!

Ok my first post but I bought this last night. Turns out she was only a couple of miles from me. Got it for $35. Her hubby rewired it using a WHITE cord and the foot control using a heavy gray cord. He said someone asked if it ran and because the cord was so frayed he replaced it and it runs. The cabinet needs a little tlc and those awful cords need replacing. Will show more pics after I get it done. Really can't believe I did this.
