26 minutes left and no bids?????? Where is everyone? I may pop back and make an offer. I know I would if it were black. Thank you for the heads up. If anyone else is interested, go for it.

Seller also have a 328K listed for $66! I would get the 301A if I didn't already have a black one!!

I've noticed some really good prices on 301's this week, some going for around $100 including the case (which is what I would want). The beige ones aren't as desirable but they sew just as good!

Is the 301 considered a "Featherweight"?

The 301 is considered the big sister to the feather weight. The 301 has a marked throat plate and the feather weight does not. The 301 is a little bit heaver, is grear driven, no belt.

Some of the later Featherweights have a marked throat plate, the ones made after about 1953.

My 1952 has a marked face plate. The feeddogs drop on the 301 so you can do free motion.

I have noticed some great prices for 301's on ebay as well. It's strange how for a while everything is selling for 130 plus, then you see a bunch of machines for less than 100.
