Default Singer Card Table Questions

I answered an ad for a Singer folding table with 2 legged extension and expect to pick it up later today. It comes with a black crinkle 1942 model 99 in a wooden domed case. In the photo it appears the machine stays in its base and sets into the table, with room to spare. Did Singer make folding tables for specific full sized machines, or is any machine larger than a 221 likely to fit? Can I have a partial wooden cover made so a FW will fit? Does the extension slide into or fold under the table? Have any of you seen a table like this? I am looking forward to having a folding table to use. The table and machine look to be in good condition, the extension has some wear to the top. Thank you.

Go here to research. All the folding tables are described. Yes, tables were made for other machines besided the FW. The 301, 401 and 500 series too. http://www.ismacs.net/singer_sewing_..._cabinets.html

Thank you! The table, extension, and machine are still in the car- will bring them in tomorrow. I didn't find any number on the table after cursory examination, but it has black wood trim and black metal legs. The wooden finish on the top of both pieces of the table is worn. The insert size is 8 3/8" x 19"- exactly as described on the Ismacs site, which should fit models 15, 99, 128, and 201. The extension is marked with a Singer label as a 311 1/2, the insert has B006616 stamped into the underside. The manual with the machine is for models 99-23 and 99-24. There's a bit of rust on the black metal table hinges, but the machine looked nice, with a silver endplate. The case was in good condition. I'm looking forward to cleaning everything up later this week.

This is unbelievable! The dimensions of the cutout that you describe are the same as the table I got yesterday at an estate sale. The big cardboard box the table came in was marked 316, but since the former owner was a Singer repairman, it is not a stretch that he had that box on hand.

I had looked at the Ismacs site, but had totally missed the 311.

Thanks for your post -- you have cleared up a mystery for me!
