Default I got something cool from eBay in my mailbox today...

a 1998/1999 Sewing Machine Blue Book! Cost me $5.00 plus $2.50 for shipping. The only other one I had seen reference was from 1977/79. It's in good shape and kinds cool to have.

I am sure that book will make for some interesting reading. I am going to the OSMG tomorrow to pick up my Singer 101 and I am going to ask him if he might have a Blue Book among all of his most interesting stuff. Sure am hoping he has one to part with.

Yes, as updated in 98/99. The prices were "obtained from surveys, auctions, and by visiting dealers' shops" it's purpose was to help dealers appraise wholesale value of used home machines. Of course area and demand would be added in. I remember in the "Giggles" thread one Craig's list person quoting a really high Blue Book price. Dom what I'm reading, I can't imagine where he pulled the outrageous price from!
