Wink Hi everyone meet Greta!

Here is Greta and here's a little of her tragic story. My husband got a call from a guy that he had some upholstery vinyl and would he be interested? So, hubby goes and looks and buys some and as he turns to go he sees her! Greta ( as I think the name fits her, don't know why) . Hubby says how much do you want for her? The guys says I don't know. Hubby says well she's in rough shape how about $20 ? Guy says ok that's fine I was gonna take her and put her in the dumpster or take her for scrap! (oh the horror!) So he brings her home and says he hasn't tried to get the accessory door open on the side so go get the pliers and I gently turn the "key" and inside I find 2 packages of Singer needles almost full 5 bobbins, all her attachments and her book! I'm now doing the happy dance in my head! She's filthy and needs a good scrubbing and oiling as she's stuck in a few places but we'll get her! I look up her serial number and she's From 1925 ! Now I'm dancing again! I am posting before and after pictures . She's a little rusty but in pretty good shape and will be in great shape when hubby gets done! So here are pictures after cleaning all of the mouse house findings out of the bottom of her too! I think she looks pretty good for her age!

That's a very lucky machine you've rescued. Reminds me of the New Home that I brought home that was full of mice leavings. What a mess.

Oil, oil, oil and oil some more. Clean it and will be a happy machine.

She looks better already! Look forward to seeing how she comes along. She'll be glowing when you get her sewing

Oh the poor thing! How wonderful your hubby saw her and gave her a new home and owner. That's great you have her case etc.

Another one saved. Wonderful. As a hint, I suggest wrapping the foot controller in bubble wrap. It will save the finish on the bed from further damage.
