Default Singer Sphinx Treadle!!!

Yesterday, I found my first full size treadle machine at a yard sale. The case is not the greatest, but oh - my - do I care. The machine looks fine. I will pick it up as soon as the weather clears. Do not want any moisture to get on this beauty. I need to find a manual for this machine, and need some direction on what is the best repair book on how to work on the Singer treadle. I am so excited - everthing seems to be working. Any help, guidance - this is the best "for me" Christmas present, and it was $75.00!!! Pictures will follow when she is home. Now to figure out where she will live, I am space challenged!!!

You might try www.ismacs.net/singer manuals to see if they have the manual as I have found many of my manuals on this site for the machines I have.

I have a Singer 27 with Sphinx decals. What model is yours? The serial number will give you that answer, check the database here: http://www.ismacs.net/singer_sewing_...-database.html

It rained and was drizzly all day today, so it still sits at the yard sale in the garage. Tomorrow evening we will try again. I will post pictures and date it, and clean it and get it running soon.

Great, can't wait to see pictures. I just got a white rotary treadle and it all works, had manual and lots of feet. Haven't had time to mess with it yet and as I am space challanged too.

You found my dream machine... I have been on a quest to find one for about 10 years. Please share a photo when it gets home.
