speaking of needles...

I bought an old sewing box at a local indoor flea market that was still full of junk/goodies. One thing I found in there of interest was an old sewing machine needle. It measures 1.75" long and EW Home Z is stamped on it. Anyone have any info about it, or familiar w/this type needle?
