Don’t feel bad. This very similar thing happened to me recently. My grandma and I even took everything apart and back together before we realized that while the thread was threaded in the tension area… it was too far to the right and not between the actual tension disks. We had a good laugh over it. But man, we threaded and re-threaded that machine from top down, messed with tension, etc several times before we caught it. It looked fine… just have to be careful when threading that the thread is exactly between those two plates… LOL

Yup, that was indeed the issue. I so appreciate your input... and yes I had fiddled with everything but that. Thank You Joe.
