Ashlea, you look wonderful! Hope the healing is continuing and progress gets you back to 100%. Love your little dog. I, too was honored to have been able to make two blocks for your beautiful quilt. My little part was made with love and hugs for you & Caleb and hope the quilt gets used a lot. Best wishes to you both.

There is a spry lady named Miriam,
whose son Caleb asked his girl to marry‘im.
Right after the start,
Miriam told with sad heart,
a medical problem had her worrin’
To her QB friends that daily she spoke,
she reported that there had been a stroke.
The girl was in care,
and Caleb was there,
as Miriam updated Quilting Board folk.
Concern kept on a’growing and growing,
amongst those that were quietly sewing.
It was plain to see,
support for Ashlea,
was needed to help her to keep going.
A big warm quilt for her was then planned,
total strangers would be lending a hand.
Nine-patch was the block,
everyone checked their stock,
quilt blocks poured in from all around the land.
Assembly was a challenge ‘tis no doubt,
vintage machines were in use all throughout.
Rodney took the lead,
others helped him succeed,
you can see what the results are about.
So when the quilt is wrapped snuggly up tight,
we hope Ashlea and Caleb are alright.
Cover Savannah well too,
she’s there to heal you,
Our goal was to help make things turn out right.
