Default 401A needs power cord and foot pedal

I just bought a 401A thats missing it power cord and foot pedal does any one know where I could get one. I use my cord and pedal from another machine I have and it sews a nice straight stitch but the zig zag pulls on the top. Is this the top tension or the bobbin tension. I think I heard if its on top its the bobbin and if it one the bottom its the top tension. Any help would be appreciated.

Try lowering your top tension. Any satin stitch or zig zag stitching typically needs lowered top tension and sometimes a stabilizer under the project depending on the density.

Try Sew Classic for your parts.

Thanks I will try sew Classic for my parts. I will try lowering the top tension I don't think it would work to put stabilizer under a seam it would take a lot of it. But it would work for applique

No, not for a seam.
