This is one I'd go look at if I weren't already picking up a beautiful cabinet tomorrow.

Was wondering if anyone could ID this one for me. It is listed on CL for $75, but looks like it's in an antique store.
So it's pretty.. looks like it's got a little more harp space than your Walmart $75 sewing machine.. what is it and would you buy it and if so, how much?

Ashley, that looks like a 319. I'd probably buy it, but know that it takes a different needle, and you'd need to find a manual (shouldn't be a problem to download a freebie from Singer) in order to use the keys for stitching...
Nice machine.

Thank you! After looking that model up, I believe you are right.
I had a 206 for a short while and it took the same needles. Looks like neither machines were very popular. I don't think I'll rush out and buy this one. I will be in that area next weekend, and I might visit that store, which I didn't know existed! I'll have to take a look at that pretty black on behind it too!

Charlee, it is not a 319 - I enlarged the picture - it is a later Singer 15.125, I think - see the tension on the side rather than on the front?
Do some research.

Here is a Singer 15 - not so nice as that green one, this should be good for a Halloween prop if you are into high priced props http://cincinnati.craigslist.org/atq/3289188812.html

Well. They must be cousins, after all they ARE both sewing machines and black, too.

That's a 15-125. They're not easy to come by, so grab it.
