That is like what I have lurking somewhere in the piles of stuff in my shop. Then there is another one - huge monster thing - looks industrial. We should do some kind of thread about button holers. I think I have a bunch of others in there somwhere, too. I have one I use - I'm thinking I can do some adjusting on it, too. I like the kind that move the fabric back and forth - I don't know why. The 'professional' has to have a machine that zz's and I'm not crazy about those.

There was a thread at one time.... look for "buttonhollers". Started by mister Miller.

Unfortunately at that price, they will have to take it along with them . . .

The table is gorgeous though; wonder if they would take $100 for it

We have a Singer base (metal part only of a treadle) that we use as a side table in our camping trailer. I've found the footpedal is a great location for our pet food dishes - keeps the dishes out of our foot path in the cramped quarters. I could see this one used that way with a couple of nice, flowing plants on top and small pet food containers stored in the drawers.

Now, don't everyone thrash me as I exit...........

I don't have a problem with the bases being reused as tables as long as a machine wasn't trashed just to make it. Some are very nice, with shaped marble tops. The sadness is because the base is an uncommon brand and it's been irreversibly cut down.

x2 on this. If you want to take the machine off and bolt on a wooden table top, go for it. That can be undone. But cutting an uncommon treadle into this is just not cool.

BTW - I must say that it is one of the best looking mods I have seen.
