*sigh* Dear seller, Old =/= gold! http://norfolk.craigslist.org/atq/2883452468.html

This one is a good price, but Hubby's eyes would roll so hard they'd fall out if I brought it home. Any takers?

Hmmm... wonder why they think appraisal amount is what they will get for the machine. And where are the pictures?

What value is he placing on the 'original patina'?

You know after looking at so many of the unrealistic prices put on vintage and antique sewing machine, I have been thinking that perhaps we should create our own Vintage Sewing Machine Bluebook. I sure would like to see one of the Sewing Machine Bluebooks that was discussed earlier to see what the pricing is based on. What do you think of myidea???

Well, that one made my jaw hit the desk. . . . .but has had over 5000 views according to the counter at the bottom. Sure is prertty though. Don't think Hubby will let me stretch our budget that much.

I've considered it, but it would be nearly impossible. There are too many variables to be able to do an accurate pricing guide, and I could see it causing some problems among us...what I think a machine is worth is NOT what others think they're worth...

Ah, Charlee, I see that great minds think alike. I do agree with you that one person's trash is another's treasure. Just ask my husband!!!
