Singer must be to sewing machine as Kleenex is to facial tissue, or Bandaid....Heck, some people call any soda "Coke", so...

That would be a great candidate for a handcrank conversion. I am not so sure I would trust the electrical! Not for that price though.

There are a few of those floating around town here that are identical to that la Vencedora (probably even the wiring). Here (Central Alberta) that seems to be the going price, or higher. I think it's because we're too far from the border, not a lot of pickings. I did pick up a lovely "Victorian" 28 with the original hand crank & motor in Calgary (S. Alberta) this weekend for less than that though.
