I also have a Singer 206 - it just does zz but it is a good solid machine, too. Those all take the same needles. Organ and Schmetz make needles that size - shop a bargain - send a link out if you find a deal.

Many people have tried to retime these machines to take a 15X1 instead of the required 206X13 needle which is shorter. If you use a 15X1 it will damage the bobbin case. Make sure you look at the bobbin case for any needle damage. You can replace the case but not cheap

Those Singer 306, 206 and 319 can be put on a treadle - they will not hand crank. Bobbin cases are available through Sew-classic.
