Ok, so it looks like both of these machines are in a barn, with traction Sand stacked in front of them.
What I want to know is:
What's with the cutting board?

Holy "Hooked on Phonics" did this person no favors!!
So, if the tension's borked, there's no bobbin, no belt... how does the person know that it "still works"?

I report ridiculous ads to the quilting board.

Speaking of which:

Something bothers me about the machine. I can't put my finger on it, but it looks "off"

You mean other than the missing front slide plate? What kind of cabinet is the machine in? I ask because I've not seen one like that before. Is it a Singer? The decals look Singerish but I don't know.

I hope the machine is in better shape than the cabinet. Since there is no picture, I guess you have to take the seller's word on it. It would have to be brand spanking new for me to appreciate it at $995

Singer 1900 Sewing Machine w Floor Pedal Shelf - $995 (Porter)

Original all parts with dark wood cabinet and full metal floor shelf pedal. Must see to appreciate. $995. Items in storage hard to photograph but will gladly show. 918.557.8944
