Oh my. Well, if it is guaranteed to work,... Let me see, you have to throw out the leather treadle belt, rewire every dangerous inch of the wiring, including the handy dandy spliced in plug end, and hope that the finish on the light will come back to life (probably not), how much are Christmas lights now? ... and repaint the motor bracket, ... Hmm, it looks like a lot of electrical tape died making this mess. At least they aren't asking $100 for the whole setup! I guess $25 isn't too bad for a guaranteed motor, splitter, and Christmas light bulb.

Ooooooooooohhh.

The text -did- make me giggle, but the photos, just fah-reekin' gorgeous. And $65? For a pristine fiddle base... Oh my.

- perfect conversation piece
- display only
- it worked (120 years ago)
- even drawers are full of "sewing machine stuff"
- you'll be the envy of everybody on the street
- your friends will keep bugging you to sell it to them
- people will be knocking on your door, just to look at it!
- in 500 years it will be worth $100's.
- autographed by some guy named "Singer"??

Only 566 miles from my home, 9 hrs. 40 minutes and 3 Great Lakes away from me - otherwise even I would jump on this.

I'd be throwing you both to the mat and go get it. Its a mere 1,556 miles, 22 hours and 45 minutes from my home. I'll need to apply for a passport. lol
