Hi. I recently got my Pfaff. I love it! The only issue I have is that there's no 1/4" foot. So I bought a high shank to be able to use a wide variety of feet. However, the built- in walking foot, when engaged, presses on the lever at the back of the high shank and releases the presser foot. So I have to choose, walking foot OR 1/4" guide.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had the same problem. You have to buy a high shank adapter specifically for Pfaff, and it's expensive....about $75 as I recall.

It's only about $45? Well worth it. I bought one for my Pfaff 1222e.

The other thing you could do - figure out the 1/4" on the regular zigzag foot and mark with nail polish. I've sewn quilts using that for years. Yes the 1/4" foot is easier but the dual feed is worth it!

I just use my regular foot but figure out how far to the right I have to move my needle to get a perfect or scant 1/4 inch by lining up the fabric to the edge of the foot. On my machine it's two or three clocks to the right of centre . I actually can do a more accurate 1/4 inch seam this way and. I get to use the walking foot! Love that Pfaff walking foot!

How bout tape on the bed? Measure carefully and use that blue non stick tape.

Mamala24, do I understand correctly that you turn the needle position dial until it places the needle in the correct spot to get a 1/4" seam at the edge of the needle? I wondered if that would work, but thought the needle might shift around. I'll try it! I'm using ateenyfoot that I think is an applique foot, it's a great 1/4".
