How about a picture of your clutch purse. Kathie
I haven't taken a picture of the purse yet, but here is a picture of a Monthy Mini I just did - also, this is the little Kenmore I got last Saturday for $5, machine, case, and the little plastic package is the foot pedal and cords.[/quote]

Nancy, that is a cute machine! I also like your Monthly Mini and the holder that it is on. Where did you get that holder? And the black dots for water, what is that material or medium that you used?

I saw this on CL and I thought the base and machine looked interesting. It's listed for $200. I have no idea what things like this are worth.

WoW, Dust included! Great price. Really, modern sewing cabinets with comparable features cost more than that, machine and dust not included. It's a lovely parlor cabinet.

The face plate seems a bit grimy, I'd almost say it looks like nicotine film of some sort.. but there is no odor.
It's just a yellowish brown film.

I've read about non-pumice GoJo and OxyClean.
Are those just for the Black part or the face place/wheel/etc as well?

I just want to make sure I'm not going to do irreparable damage!

And.. Do you think the wheel is supposed to be more polished chrome-like or just metal?

I've not actually sewn anything on her yet - but she turns as smooth as silk and so quietly I am amazed!

This is one of my dream machines - found it last Thursday on Craigslist for $80. :)
WOW!! Yours came WITH a HC!!! Mine is a 1928 electric that I plan to put a HC kit on as soon as I can save up some money. Yours is very clean!! Great buy!!!

Totally crazy!!! Run....don't walk, those decals look just great. I'd like to get a treadle next, either a Red-eye or Sphinx...not sure the bank account will agree though.

Fingers crossed you get it!
Bronwyn ;-)

Kathie - Very nice mini and your new sewing machine is adorable :)

Emmah - Please let us know when your safe and sound!!

jljack - Nice looking Franklin. It looks like it would clean up very nicely!!

deplaylady - I love the parlor cabinets :) The workmanship always amazes me and they make great conversation starters when visitors come to the house. I'd say it's worth a trip to at least see if it as nice in person.

Janice come up and join us or better yet come up to the Treadleon function in September! I bet your DH would love to see Ray White and the demo's they are going to have!

Nancy
That would be great. I'll have to drag DH along, but hopefully it will instill the "vintage machine bug" in him!!

Let it all dry and put all the parts back on, added a needle and thread, and WOW, it gave me a perfect stitch. (Sometimes I scare myself:>)
Emmah that machine came out gorgeous!! I LOVE that color for it.
