I'm glad you found one similar to your mother's machine.

Billy, Prayers for you & Valerie that you continue to improve as He keeps the 2 of you in his healing hands. Yes, this Board is really like a really, really big family. I think quilters, for the most part, are the kindest, most generous people on this planet.
God Bless.
God Bless.
thinking of you and hoping the right treatment will be put into action....take care and you are loved

I await your suggestions :)

She is really taken back by all of this and noted that everyone here seems to be like a huge family. I did tell her that she needed to hop on here and give updates letting you all know what is happening with me. I think before it is over with she might be a member of the board too, and she doesnt even sew.

So happy to hear you are feeling a bit better. :)
Thank you so much for opening this wonderful shop. I have put some banana bread over by the coffee!
I'm late to the party, Billy, but I hope you continue to improve and get better. I'll definitely keep you in my prayers.
I finally did it.....Sewed on one of my treadle machine, a Singer 191U.
I signed up on the Treadle On group to do the fall TOBE to force myself to finish and use one of my treadle machines. So I am working on a BOM that is a UFO making log cabin blocks as practice first. Boy I am getting used to threading the needle as I often start to sew backwards and break the thread. I'm still fiddling with the tension a bit but not bad. It is like it is not releasing when you raise the pressure foot either.
I have a question though. My machine is on smooth floor and it moves around when I am peddling. What do you guys use to keep it in place or do I need to adjust how I am peddling?
I did learn you cannot use a chair on wheels. Both the chair and the machine were rolling all over.
