Not a bad idea, it has been pretty busy around here and there seems to be a lot of interest in the thread and vintage machines. I know I have really enjoyed looking at all the wonderful machines that you all have brought in the shop!!!

Okay, just couldn't leave her alone. I will have to come up with a name. I did find the plates for the bobbin cover in the drawer. The serial number is 1997947. Is there a website like the singer one that you can find when it was made?

Billy, do you ever sleep? Aren't you in eastern time zone?

Never underestimate the work required when you open a new shop! I think the grand opening celebration is a great idea.

Look forward to starting the tut.

Thanks. She will be beautiful in my sewing room! But, I would like to know all about her before I spend $100. I am hoping that Billy or Charlee say "JUMP ON IT" LOL

Wow! what a beauty, I would jump on it for $100 if it were me! The cabinet is beautiful! And the Machine looks in really good shape including the decals.

Penni, what I just did this morning with a woman selling a treadle is offer her $55 on her $100 sale price. She quickly wrote back and said she is thinking about it and will get back to me this afternoon. I just saw Billy recommend this procedure yesterday on here. Then, if they don't take it, you can always go up and even pay their asking price if it is what you really want.

The machine I made an offer on is very nice but I don't think it is as nice as the one you're interested in. Go offer!!!!
;-)

penni-that is a beautiful machine! That would be a beautiful addition to your home. Do you feel it is fairly priced? Don't think to long as I'm sure it will be spoken for real soon.

That is a Singer 9W and I would be all over it and would not argue the price!! But it would not hurt to offer $75. But if you want to haggle with them do it over the phone or go look at it first. If you do it by email then some idiot will slip in and get you everytime!!!

But that is a great machine for the money and it looks to be in wonderful condition!!

Start running dont walk and go get it!!!!!!

I will definitely dicker with him, but I need to know more about it. I put an ad on CL looking for a Singer treadle and he responded with pics. I REALLY like her and she looks to be in good shape. The cabinet is pretty too. Just keeping my fingers crossed and waiting to hear from the pros in here!
