Where should I look to find out about it?

Finally got a reply back from Alan on NB about being authorized to change my password. Dropped your name---think that made a difference  ;)
Linda I am surprised he didnt throw you off the site after dropping my name LOL!!!

Alan and I get along great and he knows I am the biggest ambassador for the NB. I love that site and if it were not for them I would not be collecting and trying to save these vintage machines out there.

As far as the Monkey Ward machine it is a badged machine by who I would not know until I have seen it. They like Sears had several makers badge machines for them, and unfortunately the serial number is not helping me with the manufacturer.

I would try and look around the PL on the NeedleBar and see what you can find in the Japanese section. I doubt that it will be under Montgomery Ward but it might.

What is needlebar? Is that where you go for info on vintage machines? Or parts? Do you have to join?

Thanks Billy. I will try to look when I get the email that gives permission to set a new password. Meanwhile, here are the two pictures. Sure glad Alan didn't kick me off... I have been wanting to get on for the longest time. Research is enjoyable!

Hope you get out in the sun today. I am thinking of setting up a sewing center on my deck. It is just too nice to stay indoors.

HI, NB is a site where you can do all sorts of research and get into discussions about different sewing machine subjects. If you go to needlebar.org and hit 'click to enter' you will see the discussion topics and forums, plus when you join and get in there is so much history to learn about. There is more, I am sure, that I don't know about yet. And, yes, you have to apply to open an account. Hope you like it.

:D

I think I like the color more than anything. They want $75 for it. I want to do the research before seeing it and I definitely want to make an offer instead of paying their asking price.

Have a great day :-D

Thats a good looking machine and I think its going to be around the mid 60's for the production era. I like the styling of the machine and the color is great!!

I would start at the basement on this one to see if you can get it for cheap. I paid $25 for my 1963 Pearl Purple Kenmore in a portable case at an estate sale and it was mint just like the one your looking at.
