I love the Red Eyes! Your machine cleaned up beautifully!

Where can I get the "Cleaning your machine Tutorial?" I am so hooked on vintage machines, I think I better get the tutorial!

Nancy
Here on the Quilting Board! And I have had this machine for several years, just not the courage to take it apart until I found this board and that tutorial in particular. Thanks, Billy!

All, I miss the shop since I am visiting my Mom. But the good news is tomorrow I am going to start cleaning the treadle my sister picked up for me. I will have photos tomorrow if I can figure out how to load them on this public computer.

Everyone is doing such a great job on finding some beauties. And the cleaning tutorial. Well isn't that great! Good job on the Red Eye.

I was telling the gal that was cutting my fabric today about all my recent vintage machines acquisitions. I told her that I don't do dog rescue, (although both my dogs are rescues, so I sorta do), I do sewing machine rescue. She laughed and said that she feels that way too. Maybe we need to organize and call ourselves a vintage sewing machine rescue and figure out a cool name and such. Don't rescue organizations gets grants and such? Hmmm, that could be fun.

I am looking for a knee control for a Singer 99. I'd appreciate any help you can give.

LOL I have 4 Paffs too, my hobbymatic 947 (no IDT on it) my 7570, my dream machine!! my 2056, and have the fabric mover with stitch reg for it, and my Pfaff coverlock 4062. I gave my sister my 1229 this past April, what a work horse it was, am looking for another now. I love LOVE my Pfaff's. So I figure if I get a Pfaff treddle I will sure use it! I use all my machines, and now will be learning how to use my Signer 500. The woman at the shop where I got it, asked how long I have been sewing that I did not know about cams, well I have never in my 55+ years of sewing had a machine that had cams! She was a tad rude, and acted like I didn't know beans, LOL
my mother still has the Pfaff daddy got her in 1955

I will take pictures when I get my new camera battery and learn how to use this one,~~~~~~~~~~

Go back to page 244 and there are links for the tuts there. They are great, we use them on every machine we get. Thanks, Billy.

Weedwoman, You have a National rotary machine. She's in a little rougher shape than mine but I have a cabinet that is similar.I can help you out with threading and such when the time comes.

This is the treadle I purchased this week. I can find no info on her at all. Any ideas on how to find her age/origin?
Thanks for any advice.
BTW she has a great stitch. Runs like a star. And note the applewood rod connecting the treadle pedal to the fly wheel.
