Oh My dunster they are mighty proud of that machine too. I'm guessing that is a dirty black machine. I think I would have at least knocked (with a hammer,since they seem pretty sturdy) those cobwebs off and wiped the machine down. For the money they're asking for it I would expect at least that. I'm also with you on the spider factor.... EEEEWWWWWWW:-( :shock: :cry:

We just turned a newer Singer 15 into a handcranck. A red eye should be possible. All you need is a spoke wheel I think and the cranck. We bought a replica from online for about $16 or so.

In this tute they even changed the wheel to spoke first. Ours already had the spoke wheel and I would think your red eye does too. don't you love all the stuff you can find online?

Wow, nice machine! I just got back from looking at the Eldredge for sale here. I didn't bring it home with me. The cabinet was missing drawers, the top had been redone -- and not a good job so my DH says. The machine itself was probably a lot newer than the one BZ Quilting has, at least it seemed to be a later version. The 'Eldredge' in the middle of the decal on the head was worn off, otherwise the decal's were not in too bad a shape. The machine was in pretty good shape too -- not much rust, and it looked to be complete. Of course, I wanted to buy the machine (I can't resist any of them), but my DH was with me and he says no we don't need this machine! I should of left him at home!

Oh, and I couldn't find a serial number anywhere on the machine. The back of the machine said (I think) "Imperial Eldredge D" across the top of the head. I had a hard time reading the (I think) "Imperial" part, but that is what everyone there agreed they thought it said.

Is there an "Emperial Eldredge D" machine. As I said earlier the decals looked good except the lettering -- that part was very faded out.

ok, I need some help. I am redoing my 66. Was trying to to change some parts out on the bobbin winder. Well I ended up taking the whole thing apart. Not sure I want to ever do that again. My problem is the winder if not lining up with where the belt will be. Any solutions to my problem? Did I mess it up when I was putting it all back together? Any ideas?

Ok, found a really interesting machine. Billy I am sure you can help me out on this one. Found it on CL and the guy who has it has no clue, so I told him I might be able to help him with it. He sent pictures and it is quite interesting. So any thoughts on what this thing is worth? It looks to be in fantastic shape. Not sure I have ever seen a toyota treadle. Really cool looking.
