I tried to tell you they are there. when I took the studio pictures I did not own any machines yet except the Feather Weight. No worries. I don't own a single table runner. LOL I guess not my thing but you are right it would look cute. I was not planning to take the pink one out of the cabinet. currently that one is in repair. I did buy it just for looks so we'll see.

We like the machines in cabinets down below as DH also is a big part in buying and fixing these machines so it is nice to have a sewing area/display area that he and others can use and see the machines more regular. Many visitors try the treadle in particular.

Me too but then I am a sucker for green and pink machines. At first it wasn't working at all and the bobbin area was a mess with parts apaprently mssing. fortunately all the bobbin parts we found in a plastic baggy with all kinds of odds and ends that came with the machine. For me it is important to have it running even if I do not sew on it much which I think will be the case with this machine. Ofcourse its sewing capability might improve if it gets a real belt versus the broccoli rubber band it sports now. ~smile~

Billy, I love your studio! Great space for quilting!!! BTW, is it easier to treadle on a stool rather than a regular height chair? I like to sew on a slightly higher stool rather than a chair when the machine is a portable on a regular height table. (Shoulders don't get so tense.) I'm not lucky enough to have found my treadle yet, but I know it is out there somewhere.

I can tell you anything you want to know about this one!! This is your basic Japanese 15 but I know for a fact that it was made by Koyo. I have done a lot of research on this company and they merged with Seiko to form Koyo-Seiko and then they disolved that entity into just Seiko. That machine was manufactured in Japan on of the few that were actually made in Japan with Japanese parts. Later on when they were Koyo-Seiko they started buying a lot of their parts from India from a company named SK Sharma and Sons. Eventually when they went to Seiko they subcontracted exclusively to India for their machines and now all of the Seiko machines are made there.

The machine you have is believed to be a demo model. I believe that the models that were not badged were the ones that they sent out to the different companies for approval and then they added their names to them later. This machine is identical to my "Universal" that I have that was mad by Koyo-Seiko.

Now here is something really neat about your machine, the only versions of that machine that I have seen without badging has always been the Koyo versions.

The table is 36" from the top to the ground and the treadle is only 28" or so tall. So I built a stand to set the treadle on to go under the table. I am eventually going to get a better stool to go out there but until I find on I like I will be using that one!!

Could you post one of the bottom of the machine so I can see the workings? Just by looking at it I would think it was a badged machine by Morse but the model number plate says different. Also are there any JA or JC numbers on the machine? I might can tell you for sure who badged the machine for Majestic.

I have a wall unit that houses them here is a photo of the partial unit in place. It is a 3 part unit that I built for the studio and fits into the corner really nice. It holds 12 machines.
