Nancy that is the prettiest 99K I have ever seen!!! It looks like you just pulled it out of a box and there you go! You know hand crank might be a viable option if you wanted that. And I will have a slew of handcranks in stock in the next couple of weeks!!! ;)

Thanks Glenn, yes I am heavily invested into the parts business now and I am loving it!! I used to stock little odds and ends that I used regularly for the machines I service but there is such a high demand for parts for these machine because you can actually work on these machines that I just bit the bullet and dumped a chunk of change into the parts end. Thats why I am having a fire sale as such of my parts machines to clear out a section of attic space that I can use to store my parts that I am selling. Eventually I am going to add on to the studio so I can keep them in there but until then I am doing it this way!

Oh I forgot to mention this, when my niece came up from Mobile Alabama this weekend she brought my Featherweight that I bought with her but she had a surprise for me tucked away in her Jeep...... A Singer Fashion Mate 237M!! I know it is a new machine in my book but I was reading about it and it was offered as a treadle! This is an Italian built machine and has the external motor and the features are really 1970's mod!

I am going to clean it up and the case needs a good cleaning but it is a nearly new looking machine.

Isn't it great how well those old treadles sew! I am still amazed at the way I can re-hem my denim jeans with a treadle and it never skips a stitch over those flat felt seams! Pretty amazing.

You know Billy, I just might have to take you up on the Hank Crank. I can't run her now. I was shocked when I got home and looked up her serial number only to find out she was made in 1936! She is so much prettier than my other 99K from 1956! But, it is obvious that this one was not used! Probably brought over here when she was new and nobody could sew on her because she is set up for 240V! I oiled her up and she sews perfect just by turning the hand wheel.

Oh my DH wants to know if you have a 99K motor and foot pedal if we decide to keep her electric?

Buslady, around here the FW's sell for $220 to $375. Most of the ones I see are selling for around $300, but we had an antique fair the other day and there was a guy with a FW for sale that said he'd take $220. So it just depends on who is buying and who is selling. I saw one today in a thrift store that had a price tag of $550. I don't think they will sell that machine; but it all depends on who is looking and how bad they want the machine.

Once you get this machine up and running you will fall in love with treadling. Your cabinet does not look bad -- I have seen and bought much worse! The machine looks to be in good shape -- anyway, these old treadles are tough -- I'd be willing to bet it will sew perfect. Good luck on your new adventure!

Janet, I hope someone else can help you because I just searched the web and I can't find anything on the Revere. It actually looks like a Morse I use to have.

Awesome! We had something similar but with a Singer 15 also from Scottland and also in similar shape. We bought a hand cranck for it and it works beautifully.

Oh we also tried another motor on it and I found I did not like the fact it kept going for a little while after I stopped the pedal. I am much happier with the handcranck on it.
