Ok Sharon, What other machines are you hiding? I once went to your webshot page when you posted awhile back, and I don't remember seeing this in your machine collection. I like your machine covers that you have made. Did you follow some pattern or did you just measure and make up a pattern yourself?

It is in the Virtual section and not on this thread. Go to user defined sections and click subscribe and it will be on your home page. Then you can click on it and any thread on the forum that has anything to do with the Vintage sewing machines will be there for you to view.

Sharon I bought my Pfaff 1222e brand new in 1976! It is and has always been my favorite machine. I am now in love with my Mother's Pfaff 130, but I use my 1222e for all my binding because of the built in walking foot.

Congratulations, you have a great machine!

Misseva, I clicked on to the pictures section then went into the search box and typed in 1910 Red Eye and found your picture. Very pretty machine I love the Red Eyes. I will be doing a happy dance tomorrow because I will be getting a Red Eye too. It's in a cabinet. Enjoy!!!!!

I see White machines quite often on Craigslist. The best thing to do with Craigslist is to look every day or so otherwise the good ones get snapped up quickly.

Randa, I think what Vintamotif is asking you is - is it a Davis Vertical Feed or a regular feed Davis?

Irishrose I wish you were closer to me, I have two White's, one is a 1950's in a cabinet, the other a portable and very heavy - page 392 here. I have not measured the one in the cabinet, but the portable measures 9"s from needle to arm - throat area. Are you sure these people measured the length of the throat not the width? The older Whites were really big heavy machines.

I will measure the 1950's White today -- it is in the garage.

I had the same problem a couple weeks ago, advice from here got me to purchase ball point needs. IT WORKED! Yeah for this board.
