Here is another of Kathie's machines. This is a 1904 Model 27. I am not sure what the decal is? I haven't seen one like this?

Billy what is this? The carnation?

That pattern looks like one that I saw called a "Tiffany".

They are talking about the Dressmaker. In the picture yours looks like it is cast iron, is it cast iron? There is a very cheap Dressmaker made by Euro Pro and sold at Walmart (I think), anyway it looks nothing like your machine so I am sure they are not related. This site talks about the Dressmaker being a very reliable machine made in Germany?

So my first question is - is this an all metal machine or is it plastic?

Nancy
The machine is all metal. Kathie

It's known by both names, "Tiffany" and "Gingerbread". From the Needlebar site:

It's beautiful, btw... as is the White Rotary.

Sheesh! I go away for a weekend and you guys add 10 pages!
BTW, I took my little Featherweight with me and everyone thought it was so cute and quiet! And that's from non-sewist and non quilters!

There is one interesting thing about the machines manufactured in Canada as only Canada sold a turquoise soft carrying case that was called a 'tote' for the white FW's.

Canadian white featherweights were also sold in gray soft carrying cases called totes. My daughter's white featherweight which was purchased new in 1963 (we have the sales bill) by a neighbour's mother has the gray case.

Thank you. I just need to learn how to use them now. These machines are Miss Nellie Bell and Miss Neva Jane Jane. Nellie was the name of the woman's grandmother that I got the machine from and Miss Neva was my mother-in-law. Kathie
